Your coachThree ways to train
Same coaching, same programming, same app. What changes is where the session happens — and that is usually decided by your week rather than by your goal.
-
Fullsterkur, San Carlos
In-person training
Sessions at Fullsterkur in San Carlos, with a full rack, free weights and machines to work with. Coached set by set — position, tempo, load, and the call on when to push and when to hold.
- Hands-on coaching through every working set
- Programming written for you, not pulled off a template
- Every session logged in Curative Strength as you train
- Technique corrected while it is happening, not afterwards
-
Your place, the Bay Area
In-home training
Training at your home or building gym anywhere in the Bay Area. The program is built around the equipment you actually have, which is usually less of a limit than people expect.
- A program built around your equipment, not a gym’s
- No commute, no waiting for a rack
- The same logging and progression as in-person sessions
- Travel is confirmed during the consultation.
-
Anywhere, English or Español
Online coaching
Individual programming delivered through the Curative Strength app, with your sessions, targets and progress in front of both of us. Check-ins, video review, and adjustments as the block moves.
- Your block written and revised in the app
- Weekly check-ins with measurements, photos and readiness
- Video review of the lifts that need it
- Coaching in English or Spanish, whichever you train better in
Why train with me
About 5 years of coaching, in two languages
I coach general-population lifters: people getting strong for the first time, people coming back after years away, and people who have trained for a while and stopped moving. What that work taught me is in the app, and it is why the app is shaped the way it is.
- About 5 years coaching
- Five years of coaching people in person — general population, first-time lifters, and people coming back from a long time away from training. Long enough to have seen most of what goes wrong, and to stop being surprised by it.
- English or Español
- Coaching in whichever language you think in. Cues land differently when they arrive in your first language, and the difference shows up under a heavy bar.
- Written for you
- Your program comes from your assessment, your schedule and your equipment. Nobody gets handed the same block as the last person with the same goal.
- Strength, size, or getting back in
- Strength work, muscle building, body composition and general fitness. The goal decides the structure, not the other way around.
- Progress you can see
- Every session is logged in Curative Strength, so progress is a trend line and a set of numbers rather than a feeling about how the last few weeks went.
- Coaching, not content
- One coach, a limited number of clients, and no interest in running a roster too large to remember what anybody is working on.
How coaching works
Five steps, and the first one is a conversation that costs nothing. If coaching is not the right thing for you, that is a reasonable outcome of it.
1
Consultation
A conversation about what you want, what you have trained before, what your week looks like, and what is realistic. No charge, and no obligation at the end of it.
2
Assessment
Movement, current strength, injury history and the equipment available. This is what separates a program written for you from a program written for someone your size.
3
Your program
A block built around your goal and your schedule — exercise selection, volume, and a progression that has somewhere to go for the next several weeks.
4
Train and track
Sessions run in Curative Strength. Sets, load, effort and rest are captured as you lift, so what happened is recorded rather than remembered.
5
Adjust
The data says whether it worked. Volume, rep-max trends and your own readiness decide what the next block changes — and what it leaves alone.
Not a PDF
Your programming lives in the app, not in an attachment
The usual online coaching deliverable is a spreadsheet or a PDF — right on the day it is sent, stale by week two, and impossible to actually log a session in. Your block lives in Curative Strength instead, which is the same place I write it.
- Open the app and the session is already there, with this week's targets
- Sets, load, effort and rest recorded as you lift, not remembered afterwards
- I see what you actually did, not what the plan said you would do
- A change to the block shows up on your phone, not in a new file

Results
There are none here yet. When there are, they will be from people who actually trained with me and agreed to be quoted — named, with the format they trained in, and nothing edited into something they did not say.
Pricing
Pricing varies by coaching format and frequency. The consultation is where it gets worked out — including whether coaching is the right thing for you at all.
Start with a conversation
Tell me what you want out of training and what your week actually looks like. If it is a fit, we start from there — in San Carlos, at your place, or online.
